The tea leaves used for Taolefah matcha are grown in mountainous tea farms where fresh natural water, well-drained soil, and balanced sunlight create optimal growing conditions. The natural difference between daytime and nighttime temperatures contributes to the balanced taste and refreshing aroma of the matcha.
Taolefah Matcha comes from tea farms located in Kawane, in central Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, within the mountainous region of the Oi River basin, an area widely recognized as one of Japan’s authentic green tea production regions.
The tea fields are situated at approximately 600 meters above sea level, where the climate and environment support the production of high-quality matcha. The traditional tea cultivation system in this region has been recognized as part of the Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS) by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), helping preserve traditional Japanese green tea production methods for future generations.
Add 1.5 – 3 g of matcha powder (one matcha scoop – chashaku) into a bowl.
Add 70 – 80 ml of water.
Water temperature: 70 – 80°C
Whisk using a bamboo matcha whisk until a smooth foam forms.
