This matcha is produced from tencha leaves, which are gently steamed and dried without rolling before being finely ground into a smooth powder.
Before harvest, the tea plants are shade-grown for approximately four weeks, a traditional technique that enhances the rich umami flavor, natural sweetness, and the bright green color characteristic of premium ceremonial matcha.

This matcha comes from tea farms located in Kawane, in central Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, a mountainous region within the Oi River basin known for producing high-quality Japanese green tea.
The tea fields are situated at approximately 600 meters above sea level, where fresh mountain water, well-drained soil, and balanced sunlight create ideal growing conditions. The natural difference between daytime and nighttime temperatures contributes to the balanced taste and refreshing aroma of this matcha.
The tea cultivation system in this region is recognized as part of the Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS) by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), preserving traditional Japanese tea production methods for future generations.
Add 1.5 – 3 g of matcha powder (about one matcha scoop – chashaku) into a bowl.
Add 70 – 80 ml of water.
Water temperature: 70 – 80°C
Whisk using a bamboo matcha whisk until a smooth and light foam forms.
