
The premium organic ceremonial grade matcha sticks. Powdered early first flush organic green tea made from tencha whose leaves are steamed and dried without rolling. This unrolled dried tencha is ground into a fine powder. High grade tencha tea leaves are usually shaded before harvest (about 4 weeks).Through shading, umami* (savoriness), sweetness, as well as its unique bright green color is concentrated in the leaves.
Thanks to the unique mountainous location of the tea farms, the tea leaves are watered with pure, fresh, and well-drained water and enjoy moderate sunshine throughout the year. The difference in temperature between day and night also contributes to the well-balanced taste and refreshing scent of this matcha.
The matcha farm is located in Kawane, in the mountainous area of the Oi river basin, in the center of Shizuoka prefecture, known as the authentic green tea production area. This type of matcha comes from a farm located at an altitude of about 600 meters above sea level. The unique production method of matcha in this area is part of the "Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems," adopted by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, with a focus on preserving the culture and traditional method of producing Japanese green tea for future generations.

Preparation:
Place 1 matcha stick in bowl. Fill it up with 70 - 80 ml of water (70C- 80C) and whisk it with the match broom into the foaming consistency.
